The Super Simple Proposal Method
That Saved My Life…
Dear Freelancer,
At the start of 2021, I lost my job, and my wife was pregnant with TWINS
I decided to focus on Upwork, because it seemed like it had the most high-paying gigs being posted regularly.
Believe me, I heard all the warnings:
“Stay far, far away from Upwork if you’re a freelancer looking to make money, unless you like sorting through a rotting trash heap for scraps”
“There are NO good gigs on Upwork it’s a race to the bottom and all the clients suck”
Maybe because I’m a unique combination of stubborn and curious, I decided to ignore every one of them.
The big problem I ran into was not getting past the proposal stage.
I was sending 10 proposals a day and getting NOTHING back.
When it comes to making consistent money as a freelancer there’s one skill that’s more important than any other.
It’s your pitch.
You know you can deliver quality work if you get the chance, but everything STOPS if you never get hired.
The proposal is the “bottleneck” in the flow of money. Once you unblock it, you start getting positive reviews on your work, you start getting experience, and most importantly you start getting real CONFIDENCE.
Now I have more clients than I know what to do with.
I’m literally turning away clients because their projects don’t seem interesting to me, and I know there’s something better right around the corner.
I never would’ve guessed that in just 3 months my life could change so drastically. Let me remind you, I had NO job and my wife was pregnant with TWINS…
I was sending cold DM’s on LinkedIn, Facebook, posting on Reddit, Fiverr, Upwork, and NO ONE was responding to me.
Then I made a few small changes and the floodgates opened.
I’m making more money than I was at my full-time job and I only work 20 – 30 hours a week.
I have the flexibility to spend time with my family, to take vacations, and I don’t have to answer to anyone.
And it all started because of a simple, repeatable proposal system that can work for literally ANYONE.
But we’ll get back to that…
Like I said, I was spinning my wheels trying to get hired for a gig and getting GHOSTED everywhere I went.
The results were SHOCKING…
So what exactly did I learn from creating a fake gig?
No one cares about your past successes, they just want to know what you can do for their project
